Beginner's Sewing Course starting October 2013 at Totton College
Sewing...you've seen it on Kirsty's Handmade Home, The Great British Sewing Bee and now you quite fancy a go at it yourself - after all, you keep seeing things in the shop and thinking "it can't be that hard"!
However, not everyone has used a sewing machine before and you may not even be sure whether you like it. Starting in October 2013, I'll be teaching a beginner's sewing course at Totton College, on a Tuesday evening from 7pm - 9pm. Perfect time for you all to get in from work, have some dinner and pop along for some insight into how you can start to sew and use a machine.
The idea of the course is to get you really familiar with the machine, fabrics, stitches, methods and, of course, to practice your newly learned skills. By the end of the 10-week course you will have made a cushion. Yes, it might seem basic but you can do so, so much with a cushion depending on how creative you want to be.
If you're interested in enrolling, contact Totton College on 02380 874874.
